Our Story

Like most truckies, Owen Burns often found himself battling to throw straps accurately over tall or awkward loads. What should have been a quick task could turn into missed throws, wasted time, and falling behind schedule.

As a hands-on thinker and practical problem solver, he knew there had to be a better way.

A few prototypes led to on-the-job testing, refining the design, and proving it could save serious time and frustration. Now, Strap Launcher is ready to become a staple tool in every truck driver’s toolbox.

Designed for Truckies, by a Truckie

Strap Launcher founder and designer Owen is a natural problem-solver with a lifetime of trade experience. After a successful career as a plumber and gasfitter, running his own business and managing several trade-based companies, he began helping a mate with weekend truck driving.

What started as a favour quickly became a passion. Owen soon made the switch to full-time truck driving and hasn’t looked back.

Born and bred in Gippsland, Owen is a proud family man and father of four. With Strap Launcher, he’s excited to share a practical tool that makes life easier for truck drivers everywhere.

Why I created Strap Launcher

"For me this wasn’t just about making my job easier – it's about creating something that can help truck drivers everywhere. We work long hours, in all conditions, and every minute saved on the road makes a difference. Strap Launcher is designed as a tool we can rely on: tough, simple, and built to get the job done."

Built for the road ahead

Strap Launcher is professionally manufactured using a custom produced injection mould and heavy-duty plastic built to withstand the knocks, bumps, and demands of life on the road. Tough enough for the truck toolbox, yet lightweight and simple to use, it’s designed to last.
